Create a named menu

A restaurant can have named menus such as Dinner, Brunch, or Catering. Each menu selects and orders dishes from the same restaurant’s dish records and has its own outputs.

  1. Open Your menu.
  2. Select New menu. On a phone, open Manage menus first and choose New menu there.
  3. Enter a Menu name and select Create menu.
  4. Use Manage menus to select the new menu.
  5. Under Dishes on this menu, check the dishes to include, then choose Save menu.

When multiple menus exist, Current menu lets you switch between them. Add a new dish from the intended menu so it is included in that menu when created.

Understand sections and shared dish records

The Section field in the dish editor groups a dish under a heading such as Starters or Mains. You can enter a new section name or reuse an existing one. Use Arrange to set section and dish order for the selected menu, then Save order.

A dish on two menus is one shared Dishcard, not two recipe copies. Changes to its recipe, section, photo, visibility, or variants affect that record everywhere it is used. Menu membership and saved ordering are separate. If two services genuinely use different recipes, use variants or separate dish records and name them clearly.

Verify a menu and remove it carefully

After saving, select the menu and compare the visible dish list with your choices. Open its Menu card and web menu before sharing links or printing. Changing menu membership should not be confused with deleting the underlying dish.

When more than one menu exists, Manage menus offers Delete this menu. Read Delete this menu and its public link? before choosing Confirm delete menu. Dish cards are kept, but that menu’s QR link will no longer show it. Check any table tents or published links first.

If a dish is missing, check the selected menu, membership checkboxes, search, filters, visibility, and special end date. See reordering and bulk actions for changing a group of dishes.
