Choose a starting method

Use the current menu as a starting point. You are adding the names and organization first, then recording the recipes behind them.

  1. In menu setup, choose Type my first dish to enter one dish directly.
  2. For existing text, choose Paste menu text and fill Paste dish names and descriptions. Include section headings where possible.
  3. For a document, choose Upload a photo or PDF and select a file in Menu photo or PDF. Supported files are JPG, PNG, WebP, or PDF, up to 12 MB. Prefer a clear photo or a PDF with selectable text.
  4. Choose Read menu to create a draft list.

Nothing in the extracted list is a verified ingredient record. Dish names and pictures are not enough to determine allergens.

Paste dish names and descriptions, then review the extracted list before saving. Ingredients and allergen facts are added separately.

Review the draft before adding it

  1. Read every selected dish name. Expand a row to correct its name, Section, description, or optional price.
  2. Uncheck anything that is not a dish or should not be included.
  3. Use Remove from import to remove an unwanted draft row, or Add a missing dish for a missed item.
  4. Review matching-name warnings. Keeping a matching name creates a separate dish; it does not update the existing one.
  5. Select Add [number] dishes only when the selected list is correct.

Change source returns you to the input. If recognition is unhelpful, choose Enter a dish manually instead.

Complete and verify the dishes

The confirmation shows how many dish names were added. Choose Finish the first dish to open its editor or See your menu to inspect the list. Imported dishes start without ingredients and show that they need attention.

Add the actual ingredients, review their flags, and save each dish. Use Show dishes to finish on the menu to find unfinished records. Check the selected menu, sections, and review count before sharing anything.

If no names are found, the file is too large, or the rows are wrong, follow menu import troubleshooting. Do not repeatedly import the same file without checking whether dishes were already added.
