Switch restaurants and confirm your access
Use the restaurant selector, check your role in each location, and recover when a restaurant is missing.
For: Team members with access to more than one restaurant

Choose the restaurant before working
The Restaurant selector is in the app header. It lists restaurants available to the account you are currently using. Switching changes the restaurant you are working in; it does not merge menus, ingredients, team access, or billing between locations.
Before editing a dish, sending an invitation, downloading a card, or opening billing, check the selected name. This is especially useful when two locations have similarly named menus. A familiar dish name is not enough to confirm that you are in the intended restaurant.

- Finish saving the form you are working on. If Dishcard warns about unsaved changes, review the choice before leaving the form.
- Open the Restaurant selector and choose the intended restaurant.
- Wait for its information to load. If Could not refresh your restaurant appears, select Try again before making changes.
- Check the restaurant name in the header and a recognizable menu or dish. For settings, the page subtitle shows the restaurant and your role.
- Choose the relevant menu again before using sharing or printing. A location can have several menus.
Your role can differ by restaurant. You may own one restaurant and be a Viewer in another. Reduced controls after switching can therefore be expected. An Editor role also does not give billing or team-management permissions.
Find a missing restaurant
If a restaurant is not listed but you can still open another restaurant, confirm your email on Sign-in & sessions. Viewers can use that direct link even without Settings in their navigation. If you land in setup instead, check the email in your sign-in message. Ask the original owner to verify that address and whether its invitation is Active or Invitation pending.
If a direct link shows This restaurant is not available, it may belong to an account you cannot currently access. Sign in with the invited or owner email, or choose a restaurant you already manage. Creating a second restaurant will not recover access to the original one.
Removed memberships are not restored simply by signing in again. The owner must invite you again. A dedicated staff PIN session is for its restaurant’s read-only staff view; use an individual account when you need access to several restaurants.
Reviewed against the current Dishcard app. Screenshots use sample restaurant data.
