Print or download your allergen matrix

Choose the right menu card

From Your menu, select Menu card; this entry is also available to Viewers. Owners and editors can use desktop Menu card or mobile Share. In sharing options, choose the correct Menu. Check the restaurant and menu names above the preview. Printing the wrong menu can look convincing while leaving out the dishes your team is serving.

The matrix organizes visible dishes and variants into rows with the restaurant’s enabled allergens as columns. Hidden dishes and expired specials are left out. An unfinished dish is marked Not reviewed · Ingredient information is incomplete, rather than shown with reassuring blank cells. Follow Review your menu if a warning identifies dishes needing attention.

Set preferences and generate the document

1. If needed, open Change paper size and print preferences. The owner can choose Paper size: US Letter or A4.
2. Choose whether to Include preparation notes in print and use a Hollow circle or Hatched circle for May contain. Select Save preferences, then return with Open menu card.
3. Read the preview. US Big 9 normally uses portrait; EU / UK 14 uses landscape. Additional flags can also make the generated document landscape, so check the actual preview. Open Full preview for a larger view of every page.
4. Select Download PDF to save the generated document, or wait for the preview to load and select Print to open browser printing.
5. Match the printer’s paper size and orientation to the document. Check the browser’s preview for clipped columns, unreadable markers, or extra browser headers before printing.

Show dish prices controls public web prices; printed allergen cards do not show prices. Changing an output preference applies to a freshly generated document, not a PDF already saved on your device.

Check the physical copy

Read the legend: a filled marker means Contains; the selected outlined or patterned marker means May contain. A blank cell means the allergen is not listed in the entered ingredients. It does not mean allergen-free.

Confirm the Updated timestamp, page count, first and last dishes, and a known allergen example. Check a monochrome copy if that is how the kitchen prints. Replace every service copy after ingredient or recipe changes.

If PDF generation fails, try Full preview and browser printing, then use printing troubleshooting. A successful download or opened print dialog cannot confirm that a printer actually produced the page.
