Add dish photos and menu prices

Upload and save one dish photo

Dish photos are optional and are used on the web menu. They do not determine ingredients or allergen flags. Use an image that represents the dish your kitchen serves.

1. Open the dish and choose Edit dish.
2. In Dish photo (optional), select Upload dish photo.
3. Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP file up to 12 MB. Dishcard resizes the image automatically.
4. Wait for the upload and inspect the preview.
5. Select Save dish to publish the saved photo with the dish.

The upload confirmation says Photo uploaded. Save the dish to publish it. Uploading alone is not the final save. For an existing photo, use Replace dish photo. To remove it, choose Remove photo and save.

Enter a price and enable its display

In Dish details, fill Price (optional) with the amount you intend to show, using a plain number such as 18.00. Save the dish. If the amount is rejected, read the field message and remove currency symbols or other nonnumeric text.

Prices appear on the web menu only when menu prices are enabled in output preferences. They do not appear on the printed allergen matrix. If a saved price is missing from the guest view, check the output setting instead of entering it repeatedly.

Changing a price is a dish edit. It does not charge a guest or create an ordering function. Dishcard’s web menu is informational.

Check the published result

Open the public menu after saving. Verify the correct dish, image, description, and price. Hidden dishes and expired specials are not displayed simply because they have a photo. Confirm the dish is included in the intended named menu.

If Photo not uploaded appears, check the file format and size, then retry with a supported image. Wait for the upload to complete before saving. A previous saved photo is not replaced until the new dish changes are saved.

Review recipe facts separately whenever a new photo reflects a changed garnish, portion, or preparation. A visually updated dish may also need ingredient changes. Keep private supplier details and kitchen instructions in the appropriate internal fields.
