Find your way around Dishcard on a phone
Use the bottom navigation, find dishes, switch menus, and finish edits without losing track of the restaurant.
For: Everyone using Dishcard in a mobile browser

Find a dish during service
- Open Menu.
- If there are several named menus, choose the intended one in Current menu.
- Use Search dishes or ingredients. A dish name, ingredient, or allergen label can help you locate a record.
- Tap a dish to open its ingredients, recorded flags, notes, and variants.
- Use Filter if you need to find hidden dishes, specials, or unfinished records. Choose Clear filters when you want the full list again.
A filter can hide the dish you are looking for. Before assuming a record has disappeared, clear both the search text and active filters and check the current menu.
Finish the edit before leaving the page
Owners and Editors with editing access can use Add dish or open a dish and choose Edit dish. Work through the form and scroll to Create dish or Save dish. A preview changes while you edit, but the record is not saved until you submit it.
Watch for Unsaved changes and read any leave-page confirmation. Close the on-screen keyboard if it covers controls. To reorder a menu without dragging, open Arrange and use the up/down buttons.
If editing controls are unavailable, check your role and any read-only banner. Do not create another account to bypass an access problem. Use the account’s existing owner and read-only help.
Reviewed against the current Dishcard app. Screenshots use sample restaurant data.
