Create or reset a staff link and PIN
Give the kitchen read-only access, save a new PIN, and replace shared access when the team changes.
For: Owners setting up access and staff using it
In this guide
Use staff access for internal reading
Settings → Staff link & PIN gives the kitchen a dedicated link and four-digit PIN. Staff can read current menu and dish information, including kitchen notes, but cannot change recipes, ingredients, or account settings. This link is separate from the guest QR menu.
Only the owner can create or reset it. Share it with people who should see internal restaurant information. For a teammate who needs to maintain recipes, use an individual Editor invitation instead. A staff PIN is not a way to grant editing access.

- Open Staff link & PIN for the correct restaurant.
- Under Choose a PIN, enter exactly four digits in New four-digit PIN, or leave it blank to generate a random PIN.
- Select Create staff access. Wait for the confirmation that the link and PIN were updated.
- Copy the Staff link using Copy staff link. Save the New staff PIN now; use Show PIN if needed. It is only displayed after a new one is generated.
- Open Open staff view in a separate browser session or on the intended staff device. Enter Staff PIN and select Open menu.
- Confirm the correct restaurant opens and that the staff member can read dishes without editing controls. Share the tested link and PIN with the intended team.
Reset lost or outdated access
The existing PIN cannot be shown again after you leave the creation result. If it is lost, choose a new PIN or leave the field blank, select Reset staff access, and confirm Reset link and PIN.
Resetting invalidates the previous staff link, PIN, and staff sessions immediately. Have the replacement details ready for the next service and update shared-device bookmarks. The public QR menu link is unchanged.
If staff see Couldn’t unlock this card, compare both the link and the four digits with the latest details from the owner. An old link will not work with a new PIN. Use Try again if the settings failed to load; do not reset working access just to dismiss a temporary loading error. If creation is disabled because editing is paused, the owner should review billing first.
