Manage invoices, payment details, and cancellation
Open the billing portal for the right restaurant and verify the result of payment-method, plan, or cancellation changes.
For: Restaurant owners
In this guide
Open the restaurant’s billing portal
Open Settings → Plan & billing and confirm the restaurant selector. Billing is managed per restaurant, so make changes in the account for the intended location.
The status card shows the current plan state and access dates. Under Manage your subscription, choose Open billing portal. The portal is where you view available invoices, update a payment method, change plans, or cancel. The actions available there depend on the restaurant’s existing billing account and the options shown by the payment provider.
Editors and Viewers cannot make billing changes. If the button is unavailable to you, ask the restaurant owner rather than creating a separate subscription under another account.

- Open the portal from the correct restaurant’s Plan & billing page.
- Choose the relevant invoice, payment-method, subscription, or cancellation action offered in the portal.
- Read the provider’s confirmation, including any effective date or amount. A plan change or cancellation can affect a later billing period rather than the current day.
- Complete the provider’s confirmation step and retain the receipt or confirmation you need for your records.
- Return to Dishcard and refresh Plan & billing. Check the current access date and status after provider confirmation.
If cancellation is scheduled, Dishcard can continue editing access through the paid-through date shown on the account. Confirm the actual date; do not infer immediate loss of access or a refund from the word “canceled.”
Recover from an unavailable portal
Billing is not connected on this machine means the local app cannot open checkout or make subscription changes. If a connected account reports a portal error, inspect the message and verify that this restaurant has an existing billing account. A restaurant that has never subscribed may need Continue to checkout instead.
If a payment or cancellation outcome is uncertain, check the provider’s displayed status before repeating it. Do not start another checkout solely because Dishcard has not refreshed yet.
Delete restaurant and Download JSON do not cancel a subscription. If you are closing the restaurant’s Dishcard account, confirm cancellation in the portal, export the data you need, and only then use Delete or restore. Saved information remains exportable when editing is paused, so there is no need to purchase again just to retrieve an available export.
